What is a Naturopath?

Have you ever wondered what a Naturopath is? A lot of people use various natural health modalities, but they don’t know that those pieces are part of a much bigger puzzle. I’m here to tell you a bit about what Naturopathy is and how it can help you to live a healthier life.

I’m Ashley Liano, a Traditional Naturopath from Georgia, currently residing here in the borderland of Texas. I grew up seeing chiropractors, naturopaths, and NAET practitioners and my mom is a Nutritionist. I was homeschooled most of my childhood and that just fueled my love for natural health as I could research and learn as much as I wanted to about topics that I love. Currently I am seeing my  clients from right here in my home office!

Naturopathy is the study of Natural Health. As a Naturopath one of the biggest things I do is help people by looking for possible organ systems that may be weak and in need of some assistance. Once the client is assessed I provide recommendations via supplements, diet changes, habit adjustments, stress reduction and more to provide support for those weak systems and promote wellness. The various things you do from your bedtime routine to how you react when stressed can inhibit your body’s natural ability to heal itself. Take care of your body and it will take care of you. A Naturopath just shows you how to use the tools you already have in order to promote the wellness that you deserve.

A Naturopath does NOT claim to be or act like they are medical doctors. We encourage clients to integrate natural medicine with allopathic medicine to have the most well rounded care that they could possibly receive. Your Naturopath will NEVER tell you to stop taking a medication that your doctor has prescribed you. We will also NEVER claim to “Cure” any condition or diagnose you. Always consult your Primary Care Provider!
